URBAN RADICALS designs objects, rooms, architectures and landscapes. We are a network of friends, colleagues and expert collaborators, working together to solve design problems across contexts and scales. We grow through projects, parties, dinners, fishing trips, gardening, stories, painting, cooking, workshops, walks, gatherings and conversations.

In 2021 we were selected to curate and design the Cyprus Pavilion National Participation at the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale, as well as being named as one of the Best New Architecture Practices by ArchDaily. We were selected to be one of six, Young Architects in Residence at the Architecture Foundation in London, for 2021-22.

In 2023 we received a research grant to develop a low carbon brick from canal waste from and for Venice. The project named  A Brick for Venice, was commissioned by the EUROPEAN CULTURE CENTRE and was located in Giardini della Marinaressa running in parallel during the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale. Additionally, the project was exhibited at London’s Design Museum How to Build a Low-Carbon Home, has been long-listed for a Dezeen Sustainability Award, and shortlisted in the Small Project category at Building Design Awards 2024.

More recently, we won the London Festival of Architecture’s 20th anniversary competition with the project Street Assemblies, which was sited across the City of London’s Square Mile. The project offered an alternative parliament for London and facilitated dialogue and participation, bringing people together to discuss the future of London.

We have worked with a diverse range of clients and organisations which include the Cyprus Architects Association, Cyprus Ministry of Culture, the Business Improvement Districts within the City of London (Cheapside Business Alliance, Aldgate Connect, Eastern Cluster, Culture Mile, Fleet Street Quarter), the European Cultural Centre, Exhibition Road Culture Group – Discover South Kensington Festival, Goethe-Institut London, La Biennale di Venezia, London Festival of Architecture, New London Architecture, London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the Royal Docks – London Borough of Newham, Poliform.

Our projects have been featured across international media and press – ‘A’A’, Archdaily, Archello, Archive Books, Architects Journal, Design Museum London, Dezeen, Domus, Divisare, ICON, La Biennale di Venezia bookshop, Post Poetics bookshop, London Architecture Diary, London Design Week, London Festival of Architecture, London Post, Monocle, New London Architecture, TimeOut, V&A blog and Wallpaper*.
