VOICING POD is an intimate space for conversation and podcasts, placed in the underbelly of the iconic Lloyd’s building, also known as the inside-out building.
Inspired by the functional aesthetics of its host building, MEP systems and surrounding telephone boxes, the pod suggests that these intimate interventions are worth considering as buildings, often facilitating important programming to the street and adding cultural and aesthetic value to shared urban environments.
The pod’s exterior serves as a mini museum presenting a public exhibition featuring Leela Keshav’s work on seeds historically and currently imported into London, narrating stories of origin, migration and cultural exchange, tying into the City’s history of markets and exchange.
